Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hears, kindness, humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. ~ Colossians 3: 12, 13 (ESV)
Our responsibility as Christians, who are supposed to be like Christ, is to find a way to make forgiveness a priority when asking God to conform us in His image…. Romans 12: 1, 2 says: I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.Â
Two words to focus on here is the word “conformed” and “transformed”. Don’t be “CONFORMED to this world, but TRANSFORMED by the renewal of your mind….” In other words friends, allow the change to come from within. It’s a metamorphosis that occurs from inside our hearts because we ask God to change us on a daily basis. To make us conformable to His image, His love, and His forgiveness. Don’t be like the rest of the world and allow hatred to permeate your soul ~
